Since its inception, the Winston-Salem (NC) Alumni Chapter
has embraced the fraternal ideals of community service.
The Chapter currently mentors and supports young men
through its Kappa League, Achievement through
Partnership, Beautillion Militaire, and other scholarship
programs. The Chapter also provides volunteer support for
Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest Food Bank of
Northwest North Carolina, and the Salvation Army. During
Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Chapter donates and
delivers food baskets to needy area families and collects
toys in support of the Stuff the Bus toy drive.
Members of the Chapter have been elected to state and local
political offices, held judgeships, been appointed to corporate
and nonprofit boards of directors, and served in senior corporate
positions. Additionally, Chapter members have held Provincial
and Grand Chapter offices within the fraternity. Our own Alfred
“Al” White has served on the Grand Board as Grand Keeper of Records and Exchequer and is an Elder Watson Diggs Awarded.
